The Executive Secretary

 

 

 The Executive Secretary is responsible for executing the activities and policies of the Association and has charge of its central office. The Executive Secretary presents and recommends policies for the accomplishment of the Association’s objectives to the Executive Committee and, upon approval of the Executive Committee, is responsible for their administration.

Appointed committees look to the Executive Secretary for advice and assistance in their work. The Executive Secretary discharges the obligations and maintains the accounts of the Association.

The Executive Secretary informs the membership on the work of the Association through the ASBS Newsletter, makes reports to the Executive Committee in its mid-year and annual meetings, and issues a report to the membership at the Association's Annual Business Meeting.

The Executive Secretary consults with the Association's President as questions of policy arise. Additionally, the Executive Secretary maintains membership rosters and publishes an annual membership directory.
